Mazda In The Media Update

BBC Top Gear magazine (March 2006) page 29 - The Mazda Kabura sports coupe concept from Detroit Motor Show has attracted more coverage in this month’s BBC Top Gear magazine and is described as: ‘Mazda’s slinky MX-5-based concept seats three, with a door each.’
 
Autocar (31 January 2006) page 34 - Autocar describes Mazda 6 MPS as ‘determined and composed’… the Mazda 6 MPS ‘may well prove effective on UK roads’.
 
Auto Express (Issue 895, 1-7 February 2006) page 33 - The Mazda 6 MPS is described as ‘a better all-rounder than either the Mondeo ST or Vectra VXR’ and scores a highly respectable four stars out of five.
 
Auto Express (Issue 895, 1-7 February 2006) starts page 52 - A 12-page special guide about coupes features the Mazda RX-8 in pole position, scoring a maximum five stars and describes the Mazda RX-8 as ‘best packaging and value for money’.
 
Fleet News (2 February 2006) page 13 - The article reviews the Mazda MX-5 1.8 from the perspective of a fleet buyer.  The final verdict describes the car as ‘well priced and loaded with equipment’ but is pipped to the fleet-post by the MINI Cooper Convertible, favoured for more interior space (having four seats) and running economy.
 
Fleet Week (18 January 2006) page 32 - Paul Barker reports on the Mazda RX-8 long term press car after its 12 month loan.  He comments ‘The stunning Mazda coupe impressed us with its usability as much as its sporting prowess.’  He also praises the RX-8 for its comparatively low P11D price which balances out fuel economy and tax issues.  He concludes ‘the RX-8 is a serious proposition as everyday transport and will be sorely missed in the Fleet Week office’.
