All-New Mazda MX-5: More Zoom-Zoom Choice For 2006
The all-new Mazda MX-5 has provoked a great deal of interest and excellent initial sales since it arrived in November at SG Petch. The special launch edition Mazda MX-5’s sold rapidly as enthusiasts clamoured to be the first to own the latest version of the iconic roadster.
The all-new Mazda has been described as, ‘One of the most desirable cars on the planet,’ by Autocar and has already received two accolades, BBC Top Gear magazine’s ‘Roadster of the Year’ and Test Drive magazine’s ‘Best Roadster 2006′.

For the New Year, Mazda has revised the range of options available for the Mazda MX-5. Climate control air-conditioning is offered, packed with heated leather seats as an option on the 1.8 and 2.0-litre models, whilst the 2.0-litre Sport is now available with climate control air-conditioning and a premium Bose® audio system with 6-CD autochanger.
The availability of the premium Bose® audio system is a fantastic addition to the range. The system, featuring seven speakers, has a digital amplifier with four channels of customised equalisation which switches automatically between top up and top down driving!
These additions can only make the all-new roadster even more desirable, setting up 2006 to build on the record-breaking sales which placed the Mazda MX-5 in the Guinness Book of Records as ‘the most successful open two seater sports car of all time’, with over 725,000 sales reached in March 2005.
Prices start at £15,600 on-the-road, with a choice of five body colours - one mica (Galaxy Grey), two metallics (Winning Blue and Sunlight Silver) and two solids (Brilliant Black and True Red).
